Debating
The Debating Club participated in the John Barsby Debating Tournament recently, with some impressive results.
The team of Kris Baker and Nick McLean (right) placed first in the senior category, an especially commendable performance in that both entered in the junior category but who were then asked to compete in the senior division.
Nick placed first overall in the Senior Individual category, with Kris placing second.
Also present on the medal winner's list was Adam Schneider who placed second in the Grade 8 category.

Final Examinations
The last week of the term sees students busy reviewing for their final examinations. If the weather is warm, the lawn areas around the school soon fill up with students toting textbooks, notes, and memory aids. A few clouds, and all activity relocates to the Houses, classrooms, and quiet spots inside the campus buildings.

Students write final examinations in all regular classroom subjects. These are taken in the sports center (for grades 8-11) or in the auditorium. The final internal examination will be Saturday whereas the final provinmcial examination will be Tuesday (29th June).

Navy patrol boats maintain a vigil off the school dock to prevent students escaping by sea.

On Safari
Old Brentonians of Alex House will recognise their former Housemistress Ann Holden-Duncan at right. Ann is alive and well and seen here on safari in deepest Africa experiencing a close encounter with the local fauna.
Ann sends best wishes to all of her former colleagues and House residents.
