THIS WEEK

Monday 12th October

On Friday afternoon all students in the school attended the "Fabrications: A Celebration at Thanksgiving" assembly.
"Fabrications" is a bi-monthly competition open to all members of the school which seeks to promote student writing in prose and verse. The winning entries, which qualify for book prizes, are normally read at the Monday school assembly but, as a special recognition of the holiday weekend, the readings were combined with a number of musical performances. Soloists performing were vocalist Kristal Larsen (Il mio bel foco), pianists Jenny Fok (Nocturne in E Flat -- Chopin) and Blaine Townsend (Solace -- Scott Joplin), and the Concert Band.

Winners in the Fabrications Competition were Karli Pickett (Grade 8), Daniel Good (Grade 9), Matt Foulger and Jonathan Rhodes (Grade 10), Annie Mullins (Grade 11), and Danielle Trueman (Grade 12). The winning entries will be posted next week.
